Statement: Round 2: Qatar – Doha

„The second race weekend of Qatar started different as we hoped. We finished the day P17 because we had a problem with the tyre. I took it in a good way to be in Q1, at the end I had one session more. In FP3 we adjusted the bike a bit more and decided what we are going to do for the Qualifying. Q1 was really good for me I was fast and I could make really fast Lap time and went to Q2. For Q2 we just adjusted the bike a little bit but this wasn’t working, I couldn’t make a complete lap without nearly crashing.

From P17 I was starting the race. We started the warm up focusing on a pace. For the race we knew it’s gonna be though to recover all the positions I lost due to QP. In the first lap of the race I had contact with another rider and it made me lose 4 or 5 positions. After this I struggled to find a good rhythm, the pace was also not that good. With the bike I hadn’t the best feeling but  I gave my best and fought to make as many positions good as possible. P13 in the race.” – JN9”
