Statement: Round 04: Czech Republic – Brno

„I was eager to race in Brno after I was missing on points in the two Jerez GP´s. Last year I was riding really strong in Brno, so my target was to recover some points and get used to the new front tyre. In the first practice session on Friday I struggled a lot to ride fast times, I just did not felt comfortable with my bike. We kept working and found a bike I like in FP2, this was a step into the right direction for this weekend. On Saturday in the third session of the weekend the feeling of the anterior day was slightly different. It was difficult for me to find a good rhythm. We made a change on the bike for the qualifying which wasn´t helping me to ride a fast lap time. But it also showed us in which direction we have to go with the setting for the race. The qualifying I finished on P11.
The first laps of the race were difficult for me but I kept calm and tried to ride how I liked it. After some laps I saw that now was my time to attack and slowly I recovered some position. I was catching the group in front of me and I was fighting for P4, unfortunately the race was finished and I crossed the line on P4.“
